Three Blue Raiders move on to the Quarterfinals of the Singles Draw at Day Three of the ITA Regional Championships

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team continued play at day three of the ITA Regional Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Saturday. Three Blue Raiders advanced to the quarterfinals of the singles draw.
In the round of 16 doubles, Ondrej Horak and Marcel Kamrowski won 8-6 against Berghaus and Kudernatsch of Memphis. The duo would move on into the quarterfinals of the doubles draw where they would fall short.
In the round of 16 singles, Horak tallied a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Purdue's Purohit. Leo Raquin picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win against Jeremie Casabon of Vanderbilt. Kamrowski earned a huge win defeating the No. 1-seed and No. 24 in the nation Etienne Donnet of Louisville 6-2, 7-6 (4).
Horak, Kamrowski and Raquin all advance to the quarterfinals of the singles draw.

"We had another great day. The boys have been playing great tennis consistently in the last few days. Everyone can have a good day but when you are able to do that consistently is a great sign. I'm very happy for Marcel to get a win in straight sets against a high ranked college player who also had a lot of success in the pro tour this summer. Ondrej and Leo took care of business quickly in such an advanced stage of this tournament proves their maturity and high level of tennis. Demis wasn't able to get the win but had match points and played an incredible match against a highly ranked player. Karim had a great tournament as well. We will need to work on doubles the rest of this semester."
