Blue Raiders earn eight wins at the final day of the Vanderbilt Hidden Duals on Sunday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee men's tennis team wrapped up play at the Vanderbilt Hidden Duals on Sunday.
The Blue Raiders took on the host, Vanderbilt.
In doubles, MTSU recorded wins in three out of the four matches. Demis Taramonlis and Kristian Thomas won 8-0 against Hillhouse and Oberoi Jenson. Igor Mandou Berranger and Leo Raquin tallied an 8-4 victory over Deames and Wang. Karim Al-Amin and Shu Matsuoka defeated Lopez and Rendle 8-4.
In singles, the Blue Raiders earned five wins out of the seven matches. Taramonlis picked up a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Rendle. Javier Cueto Ramos tallied a 7-5, 6-3 win against Deames. Thomas recorded a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Oberoi Jensen. Mandou Berranger won 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 over Hillhouse. Al-Amin capped off the day with a 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 win against Wang.

"We had a good tournament overall for us. Even though I believe we didn't play our best tennis, we managed to get most wins every day against strong teams. This one was the last team event of the fall, we still have a lot of competition ahead with Leo in San Diego playing in the Fall Nationals this week and guys playing pro tournament and UTR tournaments throughout November and December. We still have a lot of things to work on and we will keep getting better as we always do."
