Blue Raiders fall to No. 13 Vanderbilt on Sunday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee women's tennis dropped their match 0-7 against No. 13 Vanderbilt on Sunday, Feb. 26 in Nashville, Tenn.
The Commodores took the doubles with wins on court No. 3 and 1. The duo of Love-Star Alexis and Muskan Gupta battled on court No.1 but ultimately fell short. Noelle Mauro and Lilly-Sophie Schmidt were up 5-4 on court No. 2 but was unfinished.
In singles, the Blue Raiders would face three ranked opponents from Vanderbilt. Freshman Sana Garakani fought back in the second set against No. 96 Holly Staff but dropped the match. Schmidt played her opponent to two close sets and fell short.

"Today was a great opportunity to measure up to one of the best teams in the nation. We played very well in doubles, putting ourselves in a great position to win. A few key points changes the momentum going into singles. We performed very well in certain positions giving me confindence as we go into our spring break matches,"
