MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — After completing their fourth straight Conference USA title, six members of the Middle Tennessee men's tennis were named to All-Conference awards, announced by the league office on Wednesday.
"It's always nice to see our guys getting recognized for their hard work, said MTSU Assistant Coach Andrea Caligiana. "I believe Pavel had been getting snubbed from the conference over the years even though he has always been a key factor to our team dominance of the in C-USA. I was very happy for him to finally receive a big individual award being named the tournament MVP. I am very proud of Ondrej and Marcel for stepping up in doubles too and I am happy to see that all our guys got rewarded from our conference peers all receiving some kind of award."
"I was surprised not seeing Coach Jimmy's name next to the coach of the year award. He has built something that has never before in C-USA. At the end of the day, these are just awards, and this is not what pushes us to work hard every single day."
