Blue Raider Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Soccer has announced its 2023 season schedule. The slate will include 18 regular season matches, including 10 at Dean A. Hayes Stadium and eight against fellow Conference USA opponents.
After a pair of exhibition matchups against Southern Indiana and at North Alabama, the Blue Raiders commence the regular season August 17 against Louisiana at home. The team is home against Belmont on August 20 before a two-match road swing at Howard and Loyola (MD).
MTSU will be back at home for a three-fixture homestand Aug. 31-Sept. 7 against Lipscomb, Cleveland State and Chattanooga.
The Blue Raiders hit the road again for road matches at Vanderbilt (Sept. 10), WKU (Sept. 14) and Tennessee Tech (Sept. 17). Conference USA dates will follow at home against Liberty (Sept. 21) and at New Mexico State (Sept. 24).
After a non-conference matchup against Chicago State on Sept. 29, MTSU will see Sam Houston (Oct. 8) and UTEP (Oct. 12) at home to open the final month of the regular season, before facing LA Tech (Oct. 15) and Jacksonville State (Oct. 22) on the road.
Middle Tennessee will conclude the regular season Oct. 27 against FIU at home.
The 2023 C-USA Women's Soccer Championship is currently slated for Nov. 1-5 at LA Tech.
MTSU returns four graduate students for their fifth seasons in Murfreesboro. This includes G Hannah Suder, D Caroline Manley, F Cambell Kivisto and F Elizabeth Slavinsky.
In addition, the Blue Raiders bring in graduate transfer D Kaitlyn Butcher, transfer F Faith Adje, and an incoming freshman class of 10.
Head Coach Aston Rhoden returns for his 22nd season at Middle Tennessee, fresh off earning his 200th victory as a Blue Raider. Assistant coaches Zak Davis and Hannah Hoefs also return for the second seasons on the MTSU sideline.
