Caligiana promoted to Associate Head Coach

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee men's tennis head coach Jimmy Borendame has announced the promotion of Andrea Caligiana to Associate Head Coach. Caligiana has been with the program since the Fall of 2020.
"Coach Cali being made a full-time coach and Associate Head Coach is extremely fitting," said Borendame. "He has worked in this capacity since right after he arrived. We make all the decisions together as a team. He has been instrumental in the progress of the players and program during our rise into the nation's Top 25. I am thrilled to see his growth as a top young coach, and I cannot put into words how much I appreciate his effort. I look forward to further developing the program with him and continuing to develop our team culture further."
Caligiana is three-for-three in Conference USA titles and NCAA appearances while also playing a huge role in three players qualifying for the NCAA individual tournament. The Blue Raiders have earned back-to-back top-25 rankings and the program's record is 67-21 since Caligiana joined the staff.
Caligiana is considered one of the top recruiters in the country after helping the Blue Raiders earn the No. 23 recruiting class in the nation in 2022.

"I have learned a lot from him in the last three years on and off the court, and Jimmy and his family have always been there for me. I am very excited for what is ahead for Middle Tennessee Tennis."
