MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee returns to the Glass House for its first home conference matchup of the year against UTEP. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT. The game will air on the Blue Raider Network and broadcast on ESPN+.

SERIES HISTORY
» This marks the 14 meeting in series history between the Middle Tennessee Lady Raiders and UTEP Miners.
» MTSU won the last meeting between the Lady Raiders and Miners, 68-62 on March 10, 2023 in the CUSA Tournament.
LADY RAIDER NOTES
» Savannah Wheeler graduated this December with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Integrated Studies and plans to pursue another degree in Health and Human Performance.
» With a pair of triples against GCU, Wheeler became just the 16th player in CUSA history to eclipse 200 career made three-point field goals.
» The Lady Raiders are coming off of a 2-0 road trip to open conference play. MTSU picked up a 64-61 overtime win over the Lady Techsters and posted a dominant 87-55 win over Sam Houston.
» With 16 points against the Bearkats, Savannah Wheeler jumped into the top 10 on the CUSA all-time scoring list and is 10 points away from eclipse 2,000 career points.
» Entering today's game, Wheeler is 20 free throws away from becoming the Conference USA all-time leader in career free throws made.
» Junior center Anastasiia Boldyreva was named the Conference USA Player of the Week after helping guide Middle Tennessee to a pair of road CUSA wins to open league play. The junior posted back-to-back double-doubles, shooting 73.3 percent from the field on the week, to go along with 22 rebounds and six blocks. She currently ranks fifth in the nation and leads the league in blocks with 50.
» Boldyreva also became just the fifth Lady Raider in program history to earn Ann Meyers Drysdale USBWA National Player of the Week honors. She joins Jalynn Gregory (2023), Ty Petty (2017), Brea Edwards (2016) and Cheyenne Parker (2015).
» With four three-point field goals against Sam Houston, Courtney Whitson became the all-time record holder at Middle Tennessee with 260.
» Jalynn Gregory is 16 points away from becoming the 34th Lady Raider to eclipse 1,000 career points.
» Middle Tennessee became just the 25th school in NCAA Division I women's basketball history and the third in Conference USA to reach 1,000 program wins on Thursday, Nov. 9 when the Lady Raiders defeated the Florida A&M Rattlers 93-48.
» The 2023-24 roster boasts seven international players: Jada Grannum (Canada); Dora Van Rijs (Hungary); Anastasiia Boldyreva, Iullia Grabovskaia and Stanislava Kabernick (Russia); Sifa Ineza (Rwanda); Zahira Arizmendi (Spain). Entering this season the Lady Raiders have only had 10 international players in program history.
» Head Coach Rick Insell has led the Lady Raiders to 17 consecutive post-seasons. He has tallied a 445-155 record at his alma mater.
SCOUTING THE MINERS
» UTEP fell to 6-9 on the year with an 83-62 loss to FIU on Jan. 13. Mahri Petree tallied a game-high 19 points to go with four steals, four assists, and two rebounds. Erin Wilson posted 16 points and 11 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the year. Jane Asinde had seven points, five rebounds, and three steals.
» Mahri Petree's 19 points against FIU were the second most she has scored this season and marked her fifth game with double-digit points in the campaign.
» Erin Wilson has continued her fine run of form, scoring in double figures for the fourth straight game and 12th time this season. She has tallied five double-doubles in that time.
» The Miners snagged 12 steals against FIU, which was double the amount of the Panthers. Mahri Petree led the efforts with four, followed by Jane Asinde and Delma Zita with three.
» Erin Wilson sits second in CUSA and 11th in the NCAA in offensive rebounds per game (4.1).
» Two Miners are putting up stats that place them in the top 100 in the national rankings. Jane Asinde is second in CUSA and 45th in the country in double-doubles (six) and leads the league while sitting 45th in the nation in free throw attempts (88). Erin Wilson ranks second in CUSA and 11th nationally in offensive rebounds per game (4.1) while sitting third in the league and 69th in the country in rebounds per game (8.6).
