Al-Amin, Horak Set for Opening Round Matchup at NCAA Championships

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Following their win in the final of the 2024 ITA Ohio Valley Regionals, claiming their first doubles title as a pairing, Middle Tennessee juniors Karim Al-Amin and Ondrej Horak are set to begin their run at the NCAA Individual Championships in Waco, Texas.

Al-Amin and Horak punched their ticket to this week's championships with the win at the ITA Regionals in West Lafayette, Ind. The Blue Raider duo defeated Tennessee's Alex Kotzen and Alejandro Moreno 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 to secure the doubles title. Al-Amin and Horak will be competing against 31 of the nation's top doubles teams, including a meeting with former Blue Raider, and No. 2 overall seed, Oskar Brostrom Poulsen, along with his doubles partner Marko Miladinovic, in the opening round of the tournament.

The NCAA Individual Championships from Waco, Texas begin tomorrow morning with all 16 Round of 32 at the Hurd Tennis Center on the campus of Baylor University with matchtime for Al-Amin and Horak vs. Miladinovic and Brostrom Poulsen set for 5 P.M. CT.
