Taramonlis tabbed Conference USA Athlete of the Week

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Demis Taramonlis was named Conference USA Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday.
"Demis has been solid since day one," said MTSU Head Coach Jimmy Borendame. "He still is not 100% healthy but he competes exceptionally well despite that. As we begin to move outdoors, Demis will be even more of a threat in the lineup."
Taramonlis went two-for-two in singles against two Power-5 teams over the weekend. In the first match, Taramonlis defeated Virginia Tech's Alberto Orso 6-2, 6-2. On Sunday, the Veria, Greece native tallied a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Indiana's Ilya Tiraspolsky. The two wins would be his fourth and fifth singles win of the season.
