Stamper ties for 13th as Blue Raiders close regular season with eighth-place finish

WEST POINT, Miss. – Owen Stamper earned his sixth top-15 finish of the season with a tie for thirteenth at Mississippi State's Mossy Oak Collegiate. He carded a 72 (E) in Tuesday's third round to finish at 212 (-4). Middle Tennessee men's golf finished the tournament in eighth place at 873 (+9) after three straight rounds of 291 (+3). MTSU moved up four spots on the leaderboard in the final round.
Stamper picked up five birdies Tuesday to bring his total for the tournament to 10. He has been under par for six out of nine tournaments on the season.
Michael Barnard carded a 71 (-1) Tuesday with the help of five birdies, including three on his final six holes of the day. He tied for 39th at 220 (+4).
Luke Perkins also tied for 39th at 220 (+4) after a round of 77 (+5) Tuesday.
Markus Varjun birdied four holes on his way to a 71 (-1) in the third round. He tied for 77th at 231 (+15).
Sheldon McKnight, playing as an individual, tied for 62nd at 225 (+9). Kevin Jegers finished in a tie for 67th at 227 (+11).
