Men’s Tennis prepares for CUSA Championships in Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — 1-seed/No. 34-ranked Middle Tennessee men's tennis are set to host the Conference USA Championships in search of their fifth straight CUSA Tournament title from Saturday, April 20 to Sunday, April 21 at the Outdoor Tennis Facility in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The Blue Raiders will face the 4-seed New Mexico State. The match will take place on Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. CT. If MTSU wins, they will be in the championship match of the tournament on Sunday, April 21 at 12 p.m. CT.
For the matches, admission is free and parking will be available in the Greenland Lot A. See map below.
Senior Leo Raquin is the reigning CUSA Athlete of the Week and has earned the honor twice this spring.
In the last match of the season, MTSU swept UNC Asheville 4-0.
As a team, the Blue Raiders have earned 86 singles wins. Leo Raquin leads the team with 17 singles wins and Ondrej Horak is not too far behind with 14 singles wins. Freshman Jakub Kroslak is off to a 11-3 record in singles play this season.
Raquin and Horak are both 16-5 respectively in doubles this season and are 15-5 as a doubles pairing. The duo is ranked No. 26 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

- New Mexico State is 9-12 on the season. In their last match, the Aggies tallied a 4-1 victory over Tennessee Tech.
– NM State returns six players from last season and bings in two freshmen and a transfer to this year's squad.
