Sayo takes home Conference USA Freshman of the Week

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee freshman Solomon Sayo earned Conference USA Freshman of the Week honors following his standout performance at the Louisville Classic on Saturday morning.
Sayo made a major impact in the Blue Raiders' team victory, surging through the field after sitting 53rd at the 2.1k mark. By the 3.9k split, he had climbed to eighth and went on to finish 12th overall with a time of 23:55.1, helping secure the team title.
This marks the first Conference USA weekly honor of Sayo's Blue Raider career.
