Blue Raiders drop midweek matchup against the Crimson Tide

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Middle Tennessee drops midweek clash against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Tuesday night, 12-2.
In the first inning, Will Jenkins took the mound, where the Crimson Tide quickly loaded the bases with no outs. The redshirt senior bounced back, striking out two batters and forcing the third to hit a dribbler to escape the inning, allowing just one run to head to the second frame.
The Tide would find themselves in the same position in the next two innings, plating four more runs to lead 5-0 heading into the fourth inning.
Tyler Minnick got the offense going with a double high off the tall wall in left-center field. Hayden Miller singled to bring him around to score, making it 5-1.
The Crimson Tide went on to score seven more runs in the final innings to secure the victory, 12-2.
