Baseball knocks off No. 15 Dallas Baptist on Sunday
After taking it on the chin in their first two games in Texas, Middle Tennessee baseball bared down and fought on Sunday, smacking 20 hits to get past No. 15 Dallas Baptist and notch the club's first CUSA win of 2025, avoiding the weekend sweep.
Will Jenkins was stellar as a late replacement for Drew Horn on the mound, tossing six innings in the start while allowing only three runs. The bottom three hitters in MTSU's lineup combined for eight of those 20 hits, with Matt Wolfe going 3-for-3 with an RBI, and two walks, Keaton Ray smacking three hits, with three runs scored and two RBIs, and Cooper Clapp picking up two hits with an RBI and a sac bunt.

Football spring practice kicks off in Floyd Stadium
The sun rises earliest for Middle Tennessee football, who often beat the sun to the turf of Floyd Stadium now that spring practice is officially under way. With 28 newcomers on the roster for the spring (and a whole host of returnees changing their numbers), there's no shortage of things to follow when you're out at practice as a Blue Raider fan.
In lieu of a traditional spring game, and in alignment with what many programs across the country are doing this spring, Derek Mason announced the end of Spring Practice will be celebrated by the Blue Raider Spring Showcase on Saturday April 12, at 2 p.m. Fans will be invited to watch the Blue Raiders live on the field that day, with a host of football competitions for the Blue Raider players to compete in. More details to come soon!

Women's Tennis host three matches this week on campus
Women's tennis will host three matches this weekend at the on-campus MTSU Tennis complex, hosting St. Thomas on Wednesday before playing CUSA foes Kennesaw State on Friday and Jax State on Saturday.
The Blue Raiders picked up their first CUSA win of the season while on the road in Lynchburg, Va. this past weekend, knocking off UTEP 5-0 on the Liberty Flames' courts.

A thank you to our fans in the Murphy Center this basketball season
As most readers have surmised in my four years here in Murfreesboro, my first love of college sports came from the world of college basketball. Growing up on Tobacco Road had a lot to do with that, of course, but what I've loved about Middle Tennessee is how much the community supports both the men's and women's programs in the Glass House each year.
It was great to see so many fans at the two postseason tournaments for the teams last week, both the NIT here in Murfreesboro and the WBIT in Nashville. And while both programs fell short of their goals, it did my heart a great deal of good to see the MTSU community show their support one last time this season.
Thanks for cheering on the Blue Raiders on the hardwood this season. As the portal opens this week, I'm sure there will be lots of news on each team's roster that, as an employee of MTSU, I can neither confirm nor deny. But I look forward to meeting the new Blue Raiders that will come join us with y'all, and wishing the best to those who have helped the programs during their time here, in the near future!
thank you for your support all season long, blue raider fans ⚡️ pic.twitter.com/hHvuRgIFdm
