Middle Tennessee Set to Take on the CUSA Outdoor Championships

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee State University is set to host the 2025 Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium, beginning tomorrow.
The Blue Raiders enter the meet well-rested after not competing last week. In their most recent outing at the Music City Challenge, several student-athletes recorded personal bests and podium finishes.
Among the standout performers was sprinter John Sherman, who appears to be hitting his stride ahead of the championship. Sherman captured first place in the 100-meter dash and finished third in the 200 meters at the Music City Challenge.
The championships will begin tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. with the decathlon and heptathlon. The first event featuring a Blue Raider is scheduled for 2 p.m. with the women's long jump.
The Conference USA Outdoor Championships will run through Sunday, May 18. Fans can follow the action live on ESPN+ throughout the weekend.
