Women's Golf hits the road for Mason Rudolph Championship

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – To kickoff the second half of the fall season, the Middle Tennessee women's golf team is set to travel up the road to Franklin, Tenn. to take part in the Mason Rudolph Championship. The tournament, hosted by Vanderbilt, will run from September 19th through the 21st at the South Course at the Vanderbilt Legends Club.
The Lineup
Isabella Johnson will start in the top spot for the Blue Raiders this weekend after another strong tournament in Ohio. The sophomore placed second at the Inverness Intercollegiate, shooting more than five shots lower than the player average, grabbing two rounds at or below par.
Ella Manley will earn her best start of the season as the second player in Franklin. While she had a tough start in Toledo, she continuously dropped her scores as the rounds went on for a top-40 finish.
Jillian Bowman will tee off third for Middle Tennessee after also earning a top-40 finish in Ohio. The junior continues to shine in the first round, with the third-lowest average on the roster at 72.67 in the opening 18.
Caroline Pardue will look to bounce back after a difficult tournament in the blue grass dominant Inverness Club. Out of her seven rounds played, she has had countable rounds in six, only falling in her most recent final round in Ohio.
Abbie Lee is set to make her season debut for the Blue Raiders following a phenomenal senior season. The graduate student shot the third-lowest single season scoring average one year ago at 73.09 and collected nine rounds at par or better.
The Field
Middle Tennessee will be joined by players from host Vanderbilt, Baylor, Indiana, Georgia Southern, Lipscomb, WKU, College of Charleston, Arizona State, Clemson, Richmond, Chattanooga, ULM, Mississippi State, Louisville and UNC.
The Format
The South Course will play as a par 71 at 6,304 yards throughout the tournament. The Blue Raiders will tee off from hole 10 Friday, beginning with Abbie Lee at 9:20 a.m. and the others following in ten-minute increments.
