Rusnakova secures podium finish at Indoor Music City Challenge

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee jump squad finished their weekend at the Indoor Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt today, headlined by Viktoria Rusnakova's triple jump podium finish.
Five athletes competed in three events across both days of the Indoor Music City Challenge. On Friday, Xarya Udoumana, Laura Odivwri and Viktoria Rusnakova competed in the women's long jump. Udoumana placed the highest in 11th place, Odivwri and Rusnakova finished 15th and 16th in a field of 32.
On Saturday, Joel Iheakolam began the day with an eighth-place finish in the men's triple jump invite. Odivwri, Rusnakova and Arianna Thomas then competed in the women's triple jump where Rusnakova took second place with a mark of 12.12. Odivwri finished 11th and Thomas placed 21st in the event.

The Blue Raiders take a short break before heading to Lynchburg, Va. to compete in the Conference USA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will be hosted by Liberty on Saturday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 1.
