Blue Raiders drop game two to Jax State

The Blue Raiders had success at the plate, stringing together eight hits as a team. Lucie McDonald and Avery Wynne both recorded multiple hits, Wynne sending her second long ball of the season over the fence in the top of the second inning to put Middle Tennessee on the board first. Jana Want and Ansley Blevins roped back-to-back RBI doubles in the top of the third, McDonald knocking an RBI single to score one more Blue Raider in the same frame. However, Middle Tennessee would not send another run across the plate for the rest of the game.
Braelyn Hall got the start in the circle for the Blue Raiders, pitching 3.0 innings, striking out one and recording the loss before Halle Klaiber entered the game in relief to pitch the final inning.
By the Numbers
- 1: Onnika Spencer caught Jax State runner stealing today, her third time doing so this season.
- 3: Three of the eight Middle Tennessee hits were for extra bases.
- 8: Eight of the nine Blue Raiders who stepped into the box today reached base.
