Henry, Crowder lead the way for Blue Raider golf at JT Poston Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- Middle Tennessee men's golf wrapped up a busy day of golf across the south today, as round two of the JT Poston Invitational along with the first two rounds of the Grover Page Classic came to a close this afternoon.
Connor Henry's second round at the Poston Invitational sits the headline of the day for the Blue Raiders. The fifth-year senior carded a four-under 67, setting himself up at T24 at three-under for the tournament. Henry moved up 33 spots on day two of the tournament.
Joining Henry as a big mover on day two at the Waynesville Inn & Golf Club is Maddox Henry, after a three-under 68-stroke effort. Crowder jumped 25 spots, and will tee off tomorrow morning at T32.
Rounding out the scoring group for the T13 Blue Raiders are Stiles Hunter and Clay Pendergrass. Hunter turned in a one-over 72 in his second career round, including four birdies and an eagle on hole two. Overall the freshman sits one over par two rounds into his first collegiate tournament. Pendergrass collected a 73 for the second straight day and heads into day three at four-over.
Stanley White shot five over for the Blue Raiders on day two, and sits T85 at five-over for the tournament.
Ollie Baker led the way for the Blue Raider individuals at the Grover Page Classic in Jackson, Tennessee during the first two rounds at T10. Baker sits one-under par going into round three.
A stroke behind Baker sits Jake Hopper after a two-over round one and two-under round two. Rounding out the field in Jackson is Cooper Solberg (T22, +2) and freshman Dylan Ramsey (T42, +8).
Coach's Comments (Head coach Mark McEntire)
"We had a better round today," head coach Mark McEntire said. "We had it going and it was good to see us deep in the red numbers. We gave a few back down the stretch but saw improvement. Our goal for tomorrow is to get four rounds at par or better and move up the leaderboard."
Next Up: The Blue Raiders at both tournaments are set to tee off for round three tomorrow morning. Middle Tennessee's slate begins with an 8:15 shotgun start for the individuals at the Grover Page Classic. The Blue Raiders in North Carolina have their first tee time at 9:24 a.m.
