Blue Raiders drop close one to Lipscomb

Lipscomb compiled seven runs in their final three innings at the plate to take and maintain their lead.
The Blue Raiders used the long ball early to jump out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning when Aaron Antonini and Myles Christian would both hit their team-leading eighth homerun. After the Bisons scored three in the bottom of the second, MT would take their biggest lead of the night in the third.
After the first two batters got out, the Blue Raiders would grab six consecutive base hits on their way to a five run inning. MT would score eight of their 10 runs with two outs.
But the Bisons would hold the Blue Raiders to just three more runs while scoring nine times after MT's big inning.
Peyton Wigginton led the Blue Raiders at the plate, picking up a career-high four hits and scoring two times. Brycen Thomas wasn't far behind, picking up three hits and driving in two RBIs.
Blake Benefield would also hit a home run in the fourth inning. Antonini, Christian, and Benefield lead the team with eight home runs.
Each hitter in the Blue Raider's lineup tallied a base knock in tonight's game.
