Men’s Tennis travels to ITA Regional Championships in Chattanooga

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee will compete in the ITA Regional Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn. at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
The event will begin on Thursday, October 12 and end Monday, October 16.
The tournament will consist of doubles and single matches. The singles and doubles finalists from the event will earn an automatic berth to the 2023 ITA National Fall Championships which will take place Nov. 2-6 at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
Karim Al-Amin, Javier Cueto Ramos, Ondrej Horak, Marcel Kamrowski, Igor Mandou Berranger, Leo Raquin, Demis Taramonlis and Kristian Thomas will be competeing in both singles and doubles for the Blue Raiders.
Raquin will hope to continue his great singles play from the ITA All-American Championships advancing from prequalifying to the qualifying draw. The senior from France became the second player under Jimmy Borendame to advance from one section of the ITA All-American Championships to the next.

"With eight out of the nine players competing this week, this is the first fall tournament we have almost the entire team traveling and competing together so far. It'll be a big week for our guys to get closer to each other and develop our team culture. Also, regionals is always a big tournament with very strong competition. We've been working very hard and we need to compete against the best to keep growing."
