No. 34 Blue Raiders defeat No. 53 Liberty 4-2 for fifth straight Conference USA Title

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — 1-seed/No. 34-ranked Middle Tennessee men's tennis hosted No. 53 Liberty in the championship of the Conference USA Championships on Sunday, April 21. MTSU tallied a 4-2 victory over the Flames to earn their fifth straight CUSA title.
The win became the fifth ranked win of the season for the Blue Raiders.
MTSU secured the doubles point with wins on court No. 3 and No. 1. Jakub Kroslak and Shu Matsuoka tallied a 6-1 win on court No. 3 against Hadzimehmedovic and Samardzic. On court No. 1, No. 26 Ondrej Horak and Leo Raquin claimed the doubles point for MTSU with a 6-3 victory over Thomas-Smith and Miguel.
To start singles play, the Flames won on court No. 6 to tie the score at one all. On court No. 1, No. 42 Leo Raquin defeated Da Silva 6-3, 6-3. Liberty took a point on court No. 3. Marcel Kamrowski picked up a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Miguel on court No. 2. To clinch the Blue Raiders' fifth straight CUSA Championship, freshmen Jakub Kroslak earned a 6-3, 6-3 win against Longwe-Smit on court No. 4.
