Softball travels to Nashville for midweek at Lipscomb

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee softball will travel to Nashville for a in-state midweek matchup at Lipscomb on April 10 at 2:00 p.m. CT.
The Blue Raiders will host Liberty at home this weekend starting on Friday, April 12.
Conference USA Softball Standings
Liberty – (22-16, 12-3)
WKU – (24-13-1, 10-5)
LA Tech – (24-11, 7-5)
NM State – (21-15, 7-5)
Jax State – (17-22, 6-6)
UTEP – (19-13, 5-7)

The all-time series is tied up at 14 apiece between MTSU and Lipscomb. However, the two did meet in the fall for an exhibition game.
The last official meeting came in 2023 where the Blue Raiders lost at home to the Bison. This year's game will be played in Nashville at Draper Diamond.
Scouting the Competition
In conference play, the Bison hold a 4-8 record in the ASUN with an overall record of 15-23. They do have key wins over North Carolina and Western Kentucky.
As a team the Bison hit .243 on the year and are led by Josey Polk at .296. Polk, a redshirt Sophomore has 32 hits on the year.
In the circle, Lipscomb has a 4.17 team ERA. Laine Barefoot throws the bulk of the innings with 85 pitched. She holds a 3.05 ERA with 29 strikeouts on the season.
