MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – To open up the month of October, the Middle Tennessee women's golf program is setting its sights east to Rocky Top for the 2025 Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate. The tournament, hosted by Tennessee, will run from Oct. 5 to Oct. 7 at the Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn.
The Lineup
Isabella Johnson remains on top of the lineup for the Blue Raiders after a solid tournament at the Mason Rudolph. Her third-straight top 20 finish saw another round at or below par, moving her total for the year to six in 10 rounds competed.
Caroline Pardue will start second for MTSU as she continues to compete in her sophomore campaign. She was able to string together birdies and pars for her best round of the tournament in the final round of the Mason Rudolph while she looks to continue dropping her scoring average.
Following her season debut at the Mason Rudolph, where she tied for the second-lowest score of a Blue Raider, Abbie Lee is set to compete third for Middle Tennessee this week. The graduate student is the only player on the lineup who competed at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate last season for MTSU.
Brylee Crouse is set to make her second appearance in the official lineup after last competing for the Blue Raiders as an individual at the Inverness Intercollegiate. The redshirt freshman saw her scores drop as that tournament went on and hopes to continue that progress in her hometown.
Making her team lineup debut is Jinger Heath, the junior transfer from Jax State, who competed at the Town & Country as an individual, bringing home a top-10 finish in her individual debut. In team qualifying, she has improved week after week and will hunt to make an impact as she rounds out the lineup in Knoxville.
The Field
Middle Tennessee and host Tennessee will be joined by South Alabama, Charlotte, Mercer, Penn State, FIU, Western Kentucky, TCU, Chattanooga, ETSU, Memphis, Jax State, Campbell and Oregon State at the competition.
The Tournament
The event will be played as a stroke play competition spanning three days, with 18 holes played in each round. The Cherokee plays as a par-71 and competition each morning will start off with tee times, with the Blue Raiders teeing off beginning at 10:10 a.m. at hole one Sunday morning. Middle Tennessee will be paired with Conference USA opponents FIU and Jax State in the opening round.
