MTSU falls to Oklahoma state 4-1

STILLWATER, Okla. – Despite securing the doubles point, Middle Tennessee fell 4-1 to Oklahoma State on Sunday afternoon.
Despite a 10-hour flight delay, the Blue Raiders landed safely in Stillwater.
In the doubles competition on court three, Oklahoma State achieved victory as freshman Houston Jacques and freshman Antoine Mayoral fell to Haydar Gokpinar and Nicolas Kobelt.
The match was highlighted by an exceptional performance from the nationally ranked 60th duo of seniors Karim Al-Amin and Ondrej Horak, who secured a decisive 6-3 win against Oklahoma State's Derek Pham and Charlie Valentine.
Continuing their momentum, Eric Crivei and Jonasz Dziopak triumphed with a strong 7-6 (7-5) victory over Alessio Basile and Ian Bracks on court two. The match featured a significant back-and-forth, with the Blue Raiders tying the score four times. However, the Blue Raiders consistently maintained their lead, ultimately clinching the doubles point in the tiebreaker.
In singles play, court one concluded first, with Horak defeated by Basile with scores of 4-6, 2-6. During the opening set, Horak trailed 4-2 but managed to tie the score at 4-4 before ultimately losing 6-4. In the second set, he was unable to maintain momentum and broke twice.
On court four, Crivei lost to Bracks, 2-6, 4-6. The first set was tied at 2-2 before Bracks achieved a four-game streak. In the second set, Crivei demonstrated resilience by breaking serve four times, but it proved insufficient to secure a victory.
On court three, Dziopak fell to Pham with scores of 1-6, 4-6. In the second set, Dziopak managed to break serve four times and even reached a tie at 3-3, but was unable to sustain his performance to win the match.
