Indoor Track & Field Season Begins Saturday

The Middle Tennessee Track & Field teams begin their season on Saturday at the Vanderbilt Home Opener in Nashville. The Blue Raiders are coming off an indoor season that saw the MT women taken home the Conference USA title while the men placed third. Much of the talent from those teams will return this year as the Blue Raiders look to contend for another conference title.

Historically Speaking
At least year's Vanderbilt Home Opener, the Blue Raiders won four individual events. Kigen Chemadi won the men's one-mile race while Abike Egbeniyi finished first in the 800-meter run.
Elizabeth Dadzie also recorded a first place finish in the women's long jump event to with a 1.58-meter distance and Janet Amponsah took home a first place finish in the 200-meter dash.
