No. 29 Blue Raiders take down No. 19 Northwestern

EVANSTON, Ill. — After being down 3-1, No. 29-ranked Middle Tennessee men's tennis completed the comeback to win 4-3 over No. 19 Northwestern on Thursday, March 9 in Evanston, Ill.
The Blue Raiders claimed the doubles point. On court No. 2 Ondrej Horak and Shu Matsuoka picked up a 6-4 win. On court No. 1, Oskar Brostrom Poulsen and Francisco Rocha battled back to win the tiebreak. The two were down 3-5 before forcing a tiebreak at six all. Brostrom Poulsen and Rocha won the tiebreak with a score of 9-7.
Northwestern took three points on court No. 2, 4 and 1. Brostrom Poulsen cut the Wildcat lead to 3-2 with his 6-4, 6-4 victory on court No. 3. Pavel Motl tallied a 6-4, 7-5 win on court No. 5 to tie it at three all. Freshman Marcel Kamrowski clinched the victory for MTSU on court No. 6 defeating NU opponent 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
